Feminism is an umbrella term for multiple movements with the core belief that people should have the same possibilities, rights, and obligations, regardless of sex/gender. Through the lens of feminism, feminists aim to highlight societal inequalities that are based on not conforming to norms.

Intersectionality is as tricky as it is useful. The base assumption in intersectionality is that power orders, oppressions and unfairness affect each other where they meet in a person. When power orders intersect, they create a completely new power order, which can’t be separated back into its parts.
